Let me spell it out for you Democrats who think that's a good idea: Iraq -- mostly flat country with the occasional city. Excellent theater for using airplanes, tanks and remote control drones to kill terrorists by the hundreds of thousands. If they hide in cities, we have gear that can see and attack through buildings. Despite this, genius terrorists keep flocking to Iraq to stop the "occupation" of Americans, and they keep getting killed for their trouble. We've lost only 4,100 from our side in the years we've been there, an incredible feat for a years-long war. Afghanistan -- mountainous terrain full of caves, forests and lots of places to hide. Terrain makes using aircraft and drones difficult -- tanks will be virtually useless in many locations. We have no equipment that can see through mountains into caves. Our troops will be reduced to crawling through booby-trapped cave systems looking for bad guys. Remember Vietnam, how our guys had to crawl into enemy bunkers? Ever see "300," where a handful of Spartans held off hundreds of thousands of Persians because they funneled them into a small area? If we go to Afghanistan, expect that American death toll to soar. As for Barack Obama's "patriotism," he started his career as a member of a socialist political party called the New Party, whose goal was to infiltrate the Democrats and public institutions to push through their Marxist goals. Obama denies any connection, but a party newsletter proves it.
